SCM Wins Alliance Pharma Supply Contract

To provide filling, packaging and testing of three injectables

SCM Pharma has been awarded a commercial supply contract by Alliance Pharma to provide filling, packaging and testing of three injectable products. The products include Edrophonium, used in the diagnosis of myasthenia gravis, Isoniazid, used as a first-line anti-tuberculosis prevention and treatment, and Pentagastrin, a diagnostic test for medullary carcinoma of the thyroid.

Edrophonium and Isoniazid will be supplied in terminally sterilized ampoules, while Pentagastrin will be aseptically filled into ampoules using isolator technology at SCM Pharma’s MHRA-licensed UK-based facility.

David Yau, production, technical and quality director at Alliance Pharma, said, “We were impressed by SCM Pharma’s track record and are confident in their ability to deliver these three products.”

Graham Dotchin, commercial director at SCM Pharma, added, “We are delighted to be working with the team at Alliance Pharma and supporting them in the supply of these three sterile products. The range of contract filling required across the projects underlines our flexibility to meet client needs and capability of terminally sterilizing and aseptically processing drug products for clinical trials and commercial supply. We hope this is the start of a long term relationship with Alliance Pharma and look forward to meeting their product supply requirements.”
